London's calling! |
I love London in December! Not only we've always been sort of lucky with the weather (luck being the keyword here) but I always get into such seasonal spirits while there. The city's always very festive and no matter where you go, you'll see decorations and you almost want to sing along to those carols (eh, not really). I know some people hate all the Christmas fuss, but I'm not one of those people (although it can be annoying if it all starts in October).
Usually we go there for a long weekend, which means we need to squeeze in all the "necessary" stuff we want to do or see; walks in parks (and those they have many!), stroll through some favourite areas like Kensington or Notting Hill, do the essential shopping, catch a late-night comedy show in Piccadilly and just chill in the English pubs for beers, mulled wine and good old beef stew. That's already a pretty decent recipe for a good weekend in London.
