In the heart of January we headed to the frigid Czech capital for an extended weekend. What kept us warm in those freezing temperatures though was a fair share of hefty, steamy soups, mulled wine (they sold in every corner) and of course the warm beanies. It's actually pretty nice time of the year to visit Prague, considering it's not filled with tourists and it's pretty cool to see the city's rooftops covered with snow! Also, the cold offered a good excuse to lounge over at cosy coffee shops and restaurants and eat more than we'd usually would ;). Isn't that a crucial aspect of travel anyways?
