Paris {12th}: Rue Crémieux

9/19/2014

The thing I love about big metropolitan cities is that even after years of living in them, they still have their way to take you by surprise and throw something new on your way. Paris is no different. Last week I happened to stumble upon this cutest little street Rue Crémieux near Gare de Lyon, and I mean, it was impossible not to notice it as its colourful houses popped out of the classic Parisian architectural look. Walking down that street felt like time would have stopped and we were brought somewhere totally different; all those detailed doorways, multicolour façades, flowers framing the windows and even couple of olive trees here and there just had this immediate effect of tranquility that so often disappears to the city noise. But not here...

This finding goes straight to the category things I love about Paris - walking around aimlessly and just running into things and places. It truly is a wonderful city for that, especially during warm and pleasant September days like we have been enjoying the past couple of weeks!

Here's a few pictures of this little out-of-this-town street...
